Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026. Written to be read once and understood — the notice period decides the refund.
If you cancel
Notice is counted in calendar days before the first day of the cohort, from the date we receive your written cancellation at admissions@niet.org.in.

Substitution instead of cancellation
At any time up to three working days before the cohort you may send a different person from the same school in your place, at no charge. Tell us the substitute’s name, designation and email and we will reissue the joining details. This is usually the better option for a school that has already approved the spend.
If we cancel or reschedule
If NIET cancels a cohort, you receive a full refund. If we move it to another date, you may either take the new date or a full refund — your choice, with no deduction. We do not reimburse travel or accommodation booked independently, so please book flexibly.
In-school cohorts
For a cohort run at your campus, the terms above apply to the cohort as a whole, calculated from the agreed delivery date. Where NIET has already incurred non-recoverable travel costs, those are deducted from the refund and evidenced on the credit note.
How refunds are made
Refunds are made to the original payment method, or to the school’s bank account where the fee was paid by transfer. We process refunds within 7 working days of approving the request; your bank may take a further 5 to 7 days to credit it. Any bank or gateway charge already incurred on the original payment is not refundable.
Assessment and certification
The fee covers one assessment attempt and one certificate. Fees are not refundable on the ground that an assessment was not passed. A resit, where offered, is charged separately.
How to request a refund
Write to admissions@niet.org.in from the email address used at registration, with the participant’s name, the programme and the payment reference. We acknowledge within one working day and confirm the outcome within three.
